Happy Halloween, Dr. Thirteen!

Happy Halloween!  To celebrate, this episode of I'm the Gun takes a look at DC's Doctor of Debunk, the Physician of Phenomenology,  Dr. Thirteen!

We'll start with a brief (very brief) publishing history, followed by a look at the good Doctor's very 1st appearance in Star Spangled Comics #122, from November 1951.  Next up is a recap of a 3-part story from Ghosts #s 97-99 (Feb.-Apr. 1981 ) featuring Dr. 13 in confrontation with DC's foremost spirit avenger, The Spectre!

Shanna Showcase 10: Savage Tales #10 (June 1975) & Rampaging Hulk #9 (Apr. 1978)



This time out we're taking a look at two of Marvel Comics' black & white bi-monthly magazines that have Shanna The She-Devil back-up stories!  Savage Tales #10's story continues Shanna's search for Raga Shah, the man responsible for killing a few of her closest companions!

Issue #9 of Rampaging Hulk contains the pay-off to Shanna's quest for vengeance, and includes a special portfolio section featuring absolutely stunning pencil sketches of our favorite jungle queen by Tony DeZuniga!

Shanna Showcase 9: Savage Tales #s 8-9 (1975)



This time out we're taking a look at two issues of Savage Tales, a black & white bi-monthly Marvel magazine that starred Ka-Zar, Lord of the Savage Land!  Issue #8's lead story features Ka-Zar's 2nd meeting with Shanna the She-Devil!

Issue #9 has the first of a 2-part Shanna solo back-up that, in a way, helps clear the decks for the next chapter in her life.
